I take what I hear and know, tilt it side to side, flip it upside down, turn it inside out and discover what’s at the core—then build on that. I connect dots allowing a picture to emerge. I see when dots are disparate and cultivate ways to bring them closer. I notice the values that are deeply important to people and respond to that. I help to build and sustain culture by offering insight, engaging people and delivering results.
I am passionate about helping leaders and influencers be better communicators.
I am passionate about facilitating engaging, insightful workshops.
I am passionate about enabling controversial, difficult discussions.
I am passionate about building integrated plans that have impact.
For 25 years, I have led and contributed to complex, high-risk projects with multiple stakeholders. I have successfully worked with local, provincial and international organizations ranging from 100 to 15,000+ employees, including Covenant Health, the University of Alberta, the Aga Khan University and the Catholic Health Association of Canada. I have received International Association of Business Communicators awards (local and national) and a Council for Advancement and Support of Education (North American) award.
I love the deep sigh that accompanies a perfectly brewed mug of chai, the eye-popping perspective that emerges from travel, the precise beauty of haiku, the tantalizing aromas of a creative kitchen and the dreamy haziness of hot sunshine days.
Letting the air in
Open windows allow air flow. Billowing curtains respond by dancing, blooming in the breeze. The influx of oxygen gives room to think and create. That’s also what a good, facilitated process does. It opens the window—sometimes with little nudges, sometimes with great flair—to enable fresh, spacious conversations.
